Just noticed that BT Sport 2 today are showing the 2004 Final vs Toulouse with Lol providing "some alternative commentary" Programme from 2-30pm. Ties in with watching SA vs NZ......

If you're at a loose end........

Thanks Mike. I'll be out then but set it to record.

The 2007 Final with alternative commentary is on Tuesday at 9am  on BT Sport 1.

It is worth rewatching the 2004 final just to follow Joe Worsley's defensive efforts.

As I said in the introductions thread, I was there and it completed my journey from disgruntled football follower to rugby follower, to Wasps follower and finally Wasps fan.

Tim Payne did well under the circumstances but who was the No 1 loose head at the time?

Craig Dowd. He ruptured his Achilles away to Gloucester three weeks earlier.

In 2007 it was Payne's knee ligament injury that created the opportunity for Tom French to scupper Leicester's expected front row dominance.

Thanks. I don’t remember much about Craig, but as I say I wasn’t really a Wasp fan up to then.
