I was very surprised when Charlie went to Tigs. However, he needed a job. I never thought he'd fit on there and so it has proved.

Ex Wasps doing well in the Top 14.

I see that Wadey was on the scoresheet in Racing's 66-10 thumping of Oyonnax.

3 ex Wasps Academy players, at the time we went bust, featured in this article about new England prospects, although only 2 are actually acknowledged as such.

What a team we could have built, if only!

I still cannot watch an entire  match.  We look for the ex-Wasps  who are playing  but the thing that really gets to me is seeing  the happy (or not!!) supporters in their club colours and woolly hats mixing together, laughing, shouting, waving flags, enjoying the experience .......  all those experiences that we have no more, and  might well not have again.  I have to change TV channels at that point.  Andc reach for a box of tissues.

Odogwu ruptured achilles.

Been there. Done that. Damn painful. Even with modern techniques, his season is done.

Without modern techniques (happened 50 years ago for me, in the middle of nowhere in North Yorkshire), I never truly recovered, played only a few games after that. Still hurts today sometimes.

 NWW,

Where in NY? My father ran a pub in Pickering in the late ?60 & ?70s and I went to school there before I joined the Army in ?72 and I know the area reasonably well.

I might have gotten the region wrong, but the North Yorkshire Moors, some miles North West of Kettlewell. At least, that was the village the kind (and very strong) walker who found me carried me to. July or August of 1976.

That's the Dales. Always been a big rugby union area, Ilkley and Otley being 2 of the better known teams. One of my early RU heroes (even though I'm older than him) was Peter Winterbottom and he comes from that area.

And Wharfedale RUFC. Our local team (next door village), many many years in National One, now top end of National Two North. Just about the only live rugby I?m watching nowadays, can?t face the premiership at the minute.
