If I was Ealing Trailfinders  I would be getting the Willis brothers, West and as many Wasps players as possible. The salary cap is different in the championship, guarantee promotion and have an excellent team when promoted.

Also would get a lot of Wasps supporters

The cap is different, unless they are planning to get promoted, as if they do they must meet the Premiership Salary Cap in their promotion year. That was why Sarries had to be compliant during their year in the Championship.

I knew this thread was going to be a hard read but seeing “our” talent scattered around all these grateful recipients is terrible.

Switches me off really. The more I read, the more I get angry when they end up at prem clubs. Not so bad with French clubs, hurts but hurts less.

I wonder if Paolo might be thinking Italy? In his situation I certainly would.

It's all very sad and tears me up every time I read about one of our players (they'll never be ex- to me). However, when someone gets a job, i gives me a bit of a lift.

I just wonder the mindset of the players now.
Are they just taking the first thing they can get and potentially being under their value or can they potentially wait for the best deal before then looking for a new deal next season.

I imagine Jack and Launchbury etc can wait a while but for the Porters and Hislops might not be able to be fussy at all.
On the flip side, clubs might just not be able to offer them anything much
