Do we think our bid will keep the club fully professional next year?
Only Ealing operate this way in the championship I believe and not sure we’ll have the money to be paying Jack and Dobby 300k as well as everyone else we hope will come back

Didn’t realise he bowled a bit of slow left arm spin.

Ryan Mills is rumoured to be heading to Sale.

Someone will get a great player after Wasps rebuilt him a few times, he was finally coming on stream this season.

I am not sure if there is anybody left to do it, but I guess someone is keeping in touch with all staff and noting who is signing long term deals elsewhere, and who might be open to coming back next season. It's going to be a hard job building a new squad.

In some ways, I am hoping that many academy players get a shot.

It’s a good question. Vaughan is now at YCCC. I guess the takeover party is doing it possibly with whoever they have identified as they’re preferred coach?

I'm not sure I get that Alfie joke? It's been a long few weeks!

Not sure I do either! It looks like he didn’t end up playing in the end from their Instagram story.

Looks like Alfie being chased by Bath and Sarries for next season. Will play for Toulouse this season

Article in the Daily Telegraph:

Doesn't actually say much more than Westy - just lots more words!

Bath are leading the race to sign Alfie Barbeary ahead of the 2022-23 season, with Saracens also keen to recruit the former Wasps back-row.

Barbeary has been unattached since Wasps were placed into administration last month. One of the Wasps' academy's most exciting talents in recent years, he initially began his career as a hooker before converting to the back row and impressing with his powerful running game, scoring 10 tries in 26 Gallagher Premiership matches to date.

Telegraph Sport understands that Bath are now Barbeary's most likely destination next season, despite Saracens' interest.

Barbeary has previously visited Bath's training ground at Farleigh House and could potentially join a talented group of young back-row players there next season, including the England flanker Sam Underhill and Scotland's Josh Bayliss.

The 22-year-old is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury suffered playing for Wasps against Bath at the end of September, which will keep him out until mid-December.

Given the limited salary cap space available at present for Premiership clubs to bring in players unless on low-cost deals or by using credits to replace injured players, Barbeary could see out the remainder of the 2021-22 season playing in France. Toulouse are understood to be the frontrunners for his signature in the Top 14.

The Rugby Football Union announced last month that Wasps and Worcester players who took up contracts overseas would remain eligible for England selection after both clubs went into administration, in an exceptional circumstance given players based abroad are usually not eligible for selection.

Barbeary was last called up by England head coach Eddie Jones ahead of the 2022 Six Nations but is yet to play for the senior side, having previously represented England under-20s and captained England under-18s.

Former Wasps players who have taken up contracts in France since the club went into administration include Vincent Koch - who did not make an appearance for Wasps after joining from Saracens - Paolo Odogwu, Brad Shields, Biyi Alo and Cam Dodson.
