I tapped on a thread titled 'Well that was fun' and seemed to be invited to connect to several young ladies from Ukraine waiting for me to connect.

I am sure it would have been fun.

Thanks VV.......it was really a case that you don't know what you would miss until that suddenly happens.  We all really appreciate your efforts!

Just to add my thanks / congratulations on resurrecting the forum, VV. Well done!

Like others, I was missing my daily dose of optimism / pessimism / realism (delete as applicable).

Good to be back. Hopefully not too long before we can get some positive news to discuss.

Nice to know it is not just me.
VV, I have never seen paddleboards. I have seen a lot of these Ukranian girls recently, a fair few "law changing in Wales", much ebay stuff, and some really odd stuff like solicitor and financial services, most of which appeared after we went bust. I have no idea how it works out how to target,  it doesn't seem to be device specific, I get the same on my wife's phone and computer which obviously will have different search histories. SN is the same. It has sometimes given me specific stuff for regions I am not in. I am yet to see an advert relating to my actual hobbies.

Welcome back!

I get the invites to meet Ukranian Ladies when viewing site using Chrome (and its derivatives) but not when using Firefox.

I don't get any ads. I use Brave browser, both on my desktop and my Android tablet. I can recommend Brave most highly. It has a very effective ad blocker built in.

I?ve been using Brave since it started because of the ad and tracking tracking blocking.

That's partly why I contribute to the running of the site.

I get ads about office chairs as I've been googling looking for a new one.

I think these lovely Ukrainian ladies would be very let down if they were looking for fun from me!

Same on the chair. Decent ones seem to cost around a thousand. In the end I opted for a very expensive gaming chair in XL large (rugby player) size. Lovely and comfy, I must say. I am not sure I believe the hype about this chair that I see on social media, but it IS very well made and designed. Also great to fall asleep in, I have found. As opposed to an 'office' chair, this is a heavy use computer user's chair.

Same on the ladies. I have a feeling the price for me would be double normal rates, at least.
