Given that Lima does appear to be in a happy place, I would give Jacob the starting berth at 10.

Seriously??? Wuss is as close to a must win/not lose game as we've had all season and you'd risk playing a Premiership tyro at 10 when we have other options?

We should start Sops and plan for him to play the full 80 min unless he's having a nightmare in which case bring on Umanga. If we can win this match (big if) then we will be all-but safe and THEN we should start to blood our younger players.

The Times article extract looks spurious at best to me, and feels more like a bit of idle chat than substance. I would start Lima with Jacob on the bench.
It was fine when I left it.....

I agree with a few on here... Sops to start and Umaga on the bench.

As Nick has said, win this and then we have the opportunity to blood Umaga and Sirker with confidence relegation isn't as big a risk.

I still wouldn't play Daly.... but he'll probably go and score a hattrick now!

Looks to me like Shields, Young and Hughes will start with Carr on the bench.
Launch and Gaskell in the engine room. Simmo and Lima as the half backs, De Jong and Daly in the 3/4's and Bassett, Watson and Willie in the back three. I can't remember which of the piano pushers is fit but I expect a bench place for Smashley and Miller as cover for back row and 10/15 respectively and maybe Neal as the 3rd backs replacement.

So no one is calling for Miller at 10 nor backup given his recent run...interesting given the gravity of this game.

Miller should certainly be in the 23.  Should that be 10, 15 or replacement he has shown enough to be involved.

Yeah Miller must be included in the 23. He's done a stirling job for us this season so that must be rewarded. However, I would have him as primarily Wing/Fullback replacement with Umaga also on the bench. Depending on how the game is going Dai can then decide to bring on a safe and steady Miller to kick the points (his accuracy % must be through the roof!) or if we need a game changer then perhaps Umaga can offer that.

I'm getting really excited about saturday! Such a big game but after the positive results in the A League, I seem to have some new found enthusiasm. I don't think we can under estimate the players returning from injury, I think we could be in for a strong finish to the season.

Assuming Lima is selected, I think we'll see Miller, but I don't think we'll see Umaga.

The problem with having Miller and Umaga on the bench is the cover for the centres.
I know Jacob covers 12 as well, but it's one thing having him on the bench to cover 10, which is presumably his primary position.
It's a whole different thing having him cover 10 and 12 from the bench.

For that reason only, I'm gonna assume a bench of Miller and JdJ.

I'd love to be wrong though and see what Jacob can do in the prem

Why? JdJ for me is our best centre and offers far more than Gaby (or Elliot).
