Mostly content with the way we played today, from my PoV ED was a passenger for the majority of the game, the slip at penalty he took over was a shame though. We contained Te'o and Adams well, however they seemed quiet anyway, and we were much improved defensively. Some odd refereeing decisions, which largely benefited Wuss but I am ecstatic with 5 points. I was thinking prior to day that we need to move on from Hughes, however he was a machine today, I wish him well at Brizzle.

What was also good to see, was that the other fixtures went our way, Tigers seem to be in dire straits even with the return of their international contingent.
It was fine when I left it.....

Pleased. We did what we needed to today and aside from Wuss making it a bit tricky when they put 13 on the board without reply, we did ok.

Shields was superb and made a major nuisance of himself, rest of the pack grafted hard and it was good to see ZZ get a try. Backs were a bit hit and miss but Watson was the pick, looked sharp again. Lima, apart from the penalty miss looked much better too.

Now we have a bit of breathing space, the trip home was a good one.

Special mention to Chris Pennell. That kick from half way was stunning.

I'm currently sat enjoying a decent red following a satisfying win.  We went to sleep early I to the second half but overall played to our strengths. Launch played a blinded and put in a proper captains performance.  Shields was strong and I think Lima was an influence in making the back line work.

5 PTS on the board
Safety all but guaranteed

An opportunity to blood Sirker and Umaga

I am starting to feel a bit more positive.

Hopefully some experimentation in  matches where we are unlikely to win - if we are safe, which is very close....

Anyone see who got MOM? I'm guessing it was either Hughes or Launchbury.

Hughes but I think there were better candidates. He gives too many silly penalties away.
Let me tell you something cucumber

Does anyone else reckon we can make top 4 still? I’ve got a sneaky feeling. I could be overly positive... but I reckon we can do it.

What a nice positive thread to read. Everyone who contributed was happy/relieved and there were a number of complementary comments about a number of the players. Let’s hope we can keep it that way.

Regarding the other games and in the same spirit:
- George Ford was sensational and almost made up for the rest of team.
- Bristol play in an exciting way but still make silly mistakes.

It would be a surprise, but yes we could do it.

Realistically with the games we have ahead compared to those around us I think top 4 is beyond us. Top 6 however is within reach and might be necessary financially for us for next year.
Can’t see us getting much from next week but can’t see us experimenting with youngsters whilst top six is a reality.

Realistically four games left, two winnable, two unlikely.
Add ten points on and look for sixth....possible.
For fourth.... no.
Does anyone know if we will get seven teams in Europe this year and who they would be? 7th place team? Challenge cup winners etc.?

good team performance out there today. I thought the game management in the last 10 minutes was so much better barely giving wuss any opportunity.

Was reflecting about the game (funny how much more I do that after a win!) and think two things stood out to me. One was a clear commitment from the players, but also enjoyed the ball being shipped through the hands so much better than in some of the games this year, lost track of the ball more yesterday than the rest of the season put together!

Just as aside, it was great to see Jimmy out on the pitch kitted up, helping out. He looked like he was ready to start........ Well in my dream he was
