Ah.. thanks W2aps.. I've been there a few times over the last few years and didn't even notice the expansion. Seems like a monumenal waste of money though considering how many times a year it will be utilised

No worries. I hope they hire out the facilities for corporate functions and conferences during the non match days. They do that at the Oval, keeps the income rolling in over the winter.

I think the point was it allowed them to bring a lot of the hospitality on site and in house so they get the money from it and don't have to pay out for renting the offsite locations used previously.
