Saw this and totally underwhelmed.  If the RFU are using any money for this when they are sacking people they need stringing up.

Bonkers, but what you would expect from the idiots in charge of the RFU.

The O2 so be prepared to get up and down in your seat. The very expensive bars will do a roaring trade.

I had to check today's date on my computer to make sure it wasn't 1st April.

It has all the hallmarks of a marketing company (Sports management company like IMG) throwing a bit of money at various RFU's and players.

With 5 players there will inevitably be a rugby league type restart to each play.

You get similar things taking place at beaches during the summer but someone wants to try and make a bit of money out of it.

Shouldn't it be called "Rugby V" if it's 5 a side? To be honest, though, that's about the least confusing aspect of this!

I always thought 7's was a bit too much space, played on the full pitch. It's interesting it's gone for smaller pitches but I don't get the 5 players thing.

Being a bit of a cynic, I saw it as an attempt by the USA to "dumb down" rugby to make it better for their audience.
Then I think it is a bit silly for the RFU to endorse something of this sort and surprised Ireland and France would follow suit as well.
