I missed this, anyway thought I would bring it to your attention....

The lesser-known Guy Armitage has quietly gone about the business of switching codes to Rugby League.

After stints at Wasps, London Irish, London Scottish and London Welsh, Jersey Reds and Ealing Trailfinders, the second youngest of the Armitage brothers rugby dynasty is looking to kick start a career in the thirteen man code at Doncaster Rugby League.

Ha ha, mind boggling at the sound of my gut switching codes.....

What this article does tell us is we can be pretty harsh on players at times, most have a love for playing the game and will do whatever they can to stay in it. It is a shame it didn't work out in Union for Guy as I thought he looked decent whenever I saw him, I wish him luck....

It was mentioned in TRP at the weekend, mentions that another brother, Bevon, was a crowd favorite at Doncaster. He apparantly played last weekend.

I wonder if Guy Armitage regrets chasing the money at Toulon at the expense of a possible England career? I remember the press lauding his performaces whilst at Toulon, but I think at the point the RFU have brought in the rule about players not being picked if they were plying their trade abroad
