The DW site used to be fantastic. When we had Tuesday lunchtime chat sessions it really felt like a community.

Everything - the club, the sport, the people - has moved on since then. Whether it's been for the best is a matter of opinion.

I see the designer (or team) have updated the SportNetwork sites (Wasps still down.. has it been closed down by GCHQ I wonder??).

As far as I can tell they've simply changed the colours and fonts?

From what I've read on other clubs' sites, the problem is more about functionality and managing the behind the scenes stuff that admins/mods have to do.

Dropped into the Estate Agent's board on SN. It looks barely half finished. Some posters there are accusing any clubs leaving SN to be 'insular'. Also, the prospect of registering and logging into separate sites seems to be too much of a chore for them to bother. ::)

It would certainly be easier if all the sites were in one place, with a drop down menu to navigate, a la SN. Obviously SN have other issues.

Quite frankly, looks an awful mess. SN say they've been trying to improve things :o Amateur night.

I wonder how long it will be before it disappears again though.

The obvious changes are the different font colours which makes it very difficult to read. Apart from that I don't notice a great deal of difference. Perhaps the majority of the upgrade was behind the scenes stuff that us mortals don't get to see

The admin site hasn't changed at all.

It's just new CSS that's been rushed out as a supposed fix in reaction to site after site leaving.

You can now click on the word NEW to be taken to the first unread post. A very old feature on most forums, but apparently state of the art stuff for sportsnetwork. I guess given the numbers leaving they finally decided to do what was probably a straightforward update to actually provide functionality.

Shame about the disgusting colours.

Seems to be a bit of animosity there towards this site.  At least, I can only imagine they're referring to OaWAaW.  Referred to as a, "Safe space", in a post subsequently taken down, and now as the, "Glee Club".

I don't mind the Glee club as long as we can have the singing cheerleaders..

I can't recall how long ago it's been since it was busy during the off season, probably back in the days of Barney et al????
