Super typhoon Hagibis claims a victim already.

Get on down to the Ricoh then?

Confirmed first thing this morning by World Rugby. AB's v Italy also off.
Sunday's games are still on subject to what the typhoon does but if they can't play those either then Scotland will go out.

Much as I want to see the Scots out at the group stage, I want to see it on the pitch.

Why don't they move the matches?
Eng Fra would have decided the group winners.

Not good for the tournament and not good for England I fear. With momentum building nicely could this send them to the 1/4's undercooked?

The TV companies schedules won't be ready

Listening to Eddie this morning, I don't think it will. I wonder how much consideration was given to the fact that the competition was scheduled to be played in the region within it's typhoon season?

Yes, the news has been saying that Japan has "contingency plans", I question the wisdom of scheduling the tournament in Japan during typhoon season if the contingency plan is to cancel the games.

The TV companies won't be happy about this but I feel for the fan who might have saved up for a year or more to go to Japan just to watch this one game.

It reminds me of the Sarries V Clermont (I think) debacle.

Organisers can't predict weather conditions but surely they can reschedule for a couple of days later?

As you say BG, why not run it on the Monday. They are thinking it will have passed for the Sunday game so it makes sense.

Smaller nations have had to deal with 4 day turn arounds, I don't see why we shouldn't do the same.

We've had a 4 day turn around, Tonga on Sep 22nd and US on Sep 26th.

Not everything is a conspiracy.

It's still a disadvantageto have a 4 day turnaround. And quarters are tough enough. I'm worried about being undercooked now.

Hope Japan Scotland goes ahead, and hope Japan smash Scotland.

Sure but that's no reason it shouldn't go ahead.
I'm not sure what undercooked means. These guys have been together forever and played about 8 or 9 games over the last 12 weeks, if they arent where they need to be by now I don't know what to say..
Agree on Japan..

Agreed, and not just because I have Japan in the sweepstake at work.
