It looked like he was trying to skip Watson.

I've watched that pass several times, I'm not convinced it was as hard as it looked. I wonder if he was trying to dummy the long pass in order to pry a hole in the defence for Watson to get through.

I actually thought of it as a tactic: a ball passed very fast is almost impossible for a defender to intercept, and rather than get 10 mins in the bin they will probably not attempt it.

Well whatever Lima intended, I thought they were great passes and the end result was Marcus got two tries by going straight through the gaps they created. Coincidence?

Could be right, it does seem to be at him, but it's definitely too hard. But at the same time, it didn't have the trajectory to be going further (at least from the little we can see in the highlights). Happy enough to give him the benefit of the doubt.

For me the pass had to be quick and hard, any softer then a very good chance of an interception. I rather he did that, at worst Watson would have knocked it on,

For me well played, actually well played on both passes to Watson
