The second half is not going so well.

Brookes now in the bin for scrum offences

24-3 down with tries for a driving maul and a push over scrum

They're starting to show their forward power now

Silly mistakes. Two line outs given away and a kick direct to touch. Not sure why we're box kicking into a gale. We're not far off but we've got to get sharper.

Underpowered in the scrum now, with both Rowlands and Mathews off injured. We are being pushed all over the place

Exactly.
It's fine margins.

We're not playing badly really
With 2 locks replaced we're naturally being out powered, but even with that we're making ground with ball in hand.

We won't get anything from this game, but it won't be as bad as the score line suggests

Once we lost matthews there was no chance in the scrums. Frustrating, but encouraging. Some poor tackle attempts though.

Umaga must keep his place in the side, and I believe he will do, there's a reason Dai has left him on the pitch.

Injuries in the second row now at critical I would have thought? Game itself a lost cause.

After the departures we lost our shape completely and were so ragged it was almost unwatchable, however I did feel that Porter's vision and speed was an improvement on the way Dan had been playing. A really bad day at the office......
It was fine when I left it.....

Surely we are going to have to sign someone on loan or short term to cover the second row....

To be honest... missed opportunities and poor play again leads to a loss. Something really needs to change.

If it wasn't for Sarries deduction and how bad leicester look... then i reckon we would be going down.

Maybe, lets see what the injuries are first.
Set piece was a worry. Defence in the midfield was pretty good but out wide again there was no structure and the wingers were lackluster when questioned.
Real mixed bag, not sure how i feel about the result TBH, good and bad.

I'll wait to see the video, but even if there are new shoots of optimism from our play (from the Cov T description) unless we can work out how to win, we'll be in trouble

The only consolation is that Tigers - with 4 of England's starting backs and an international standard front row, managed to look like they'd met in the car park.....what the hell is wrong there?

I haven’t seen the game so can’t really judge it. Interesting you say about the wingers being lacklustre, as you know I do believe we are not great on the wing, so not surprised by your comments.

It does sound like we are a team that is physically going to struggle. I’m getting very nervous

Both Wasps and Tigers were playing against teams with strength, structure and belief. It's going to being a long hard season for both if fortunes do not take an upward curve.

Westy...
If I'm being positive, I'd say that we weren't out muscled in the first 40.
We only got into serious trouble when we lost both locks and had to put a 19 year old back rower in the second row

I certainly wouldn't say that we were dominant, but we were holding our own until that point.

A little more precision and we'd have been ahead at the break.
The injuries particularly 2 in a single position wrecked it for us.

However, the key for me is that I've been a defender of Sopoaga since he's been with us. I still feel that some people over react when commenting on him.
However, I truly would start to build the backline and moves around Umaga.
He has a lot to offer, and has committed his future to us

Agree with this, but would also add that our attack was looking fairly incisive at times in that first half too. Losing the locks meant we had not chance in the scrum, and struggled in the maul.

Against another side, I think we could have done quite well. Especially without injuries.  Are we going to win the prem? Of course not, but that performance had me thinking we can safely avoid relegation, and maybe chase top 6 if our injuries improve.
