Good chance of seeing Mac back in Gold and Black then, which means he must be fully fit. Interesting to see Tom Bacon and Will Simmonds there. A sign of next year's squad recruits?

Good to see Will Wilson getting an opportunity.  He was spoken of very highly two seasons ago.

Very interesting to see Bacon, Wilson and Simonds.

But strangely enough no Spink or James, which I was expecting. They may be injured.

I'm glad we're trying out academy players, hope they're good or have potential.

That's a more than decent team, especially in the backs. Tom B aside - I wouldn't be unhappy to see that line up in the Prem any week - and a good performance from Lima and Jimmy would boost the feeling that we've got options around the creative part of the team.

I like what I see from Charlie M and getting more game time will be a bonus and again - good performances from the backrow would put a little pressure on other players, in a positive way of course.

Its a very good mixture of old and new and exactly what a number of posters have asked for in the past.

Nothing to lose by going out and experimenting with some new combinations and processes.

Anyone know how we can watch a recording or catch the game ?

A good balance IMHO. R&R for those needed for more important encounters.

For those attending, be warned that the IMO awful token system is in use at the ground.

You can only buy food/drink with a token.
You cannot exchange your token for cash if you have not used it.
You have to queue twice.

It is iniquitous, and we should start making noises now because the world cup in 2023 will use it for every game unless there is resistance.

I'd have preferred Gops not to start, meaning maybe Miller or Booj at 12 and James at 15..maybe its down to registration...though surprised some of these are registered to play.

I'm actually quite surprised Gopps is starting. Maybe it's to get him a bit more match fitness?

I'd guess so. We play Worcs in 2 weeks time and I guess we'd all rather fancy him for the 12 shirt on the day? We need to win that one.
