Friday Applause
« on: February 18, 2020, 07:47:22 PM »
Several Wasps twitter threads are advocating Applause on 9 minutes to thank Dai. Seems a simple plan.

Great idea. Especially as it's likely Dai will be there.

Good plan. Is that 9 minutes in, or 9 minutes on the clock? Sorry for probably dim question.

You can always do it twice

By that do you mean the next 2 home matches - I should imagine that Friday will have a very low attendance, so it should be repeated at the Gloucester match.

We know Dai will be at Friday's match so it seems a sensible match to target. If the will is there then there is no reason not to hit the Donkeys match too.

Wasps now taken up the idea and issued a tweet inviting fans to join in. We were anyway! Good on them.

Bobby Bridge reports:

Note: "The Ricoh Area clocks count down from 40 minutes, making the 31.59 mark the moment when supporters can show their collective appreciation for Young."

There'll be some tired arms and sore hands if there's a lengthy stoppage with the clock on 31.30! :)

Any chant that can go with it so that those who haven’t seen the message will know why there’s a lot of applause?

Since Wasps have now promoted it, they will probably put Day on the screen one way or another.

Edit - Dai obviously

Good point, definitely hope so.
