And there’s me about to criticise Jack for giving penalties away......

He is a very special player and I know nothing!

He’s the leadership that we needed and if he isn’t captain in a couple of years something’s gone wrong.

What is interesting is he keeps saying his brother is better than him and while I wouldn’t want to make a call either way his brother had a solid game and looks like there’s a lot more to come.

Great post match one liner from Lee Blackett about erecting a statue of Tom and Jack’s mum  at the aRicoh.

Why did Carley try to persuade quite strongly against the red.
Yeah that was weird, kept offering him replays to check when it was pretty obvious it was a straight red.

I read it the other way, he was giving a red card unless someone gave him a very good reason not to. He dismissed looking at it in real time again.  If anyone was against red it was the TMO who kept asking him to look at other angles.

Have just opened my eyes. Can I now take the cotton wool out of my ears?   Would someone hand me my heart pills please.

Thought Pearce got most things right. But again he basically ignored loads of off feet. Not that he's alone in that. Carley was right to ask Pearce if he wanted any other looks - it was such a big call. Carley was also convinced about the knock on for our non try. I wasn't so sure about that.

From the angle the arm that touched the ball was travelling, looked like Quins hand in the ruck to me.

That’s worrying, I got it in to my head He was reffing. I hope that was my only senior moment today, but I doubt it.

Very happy with that result! All in our own hands now. 4 pts Sunday and play off secure. 5 pts and home SF. Who would have dreamed of that on Feb 15?

This squad will be a real force next season.

Yes, me too. I thought Pearce got to the point that he wasn't able to see it but could tell Carley was so convinced he went with it. It could really have cost us - Pearce should have made sure he was absolutely sure.

I said the same at half time. He did concede a few first half. More than made up for it though.

Hats off to Robshaw for a good game and a great career.
He’s a great example to younger players coming through.

Also hats off to Marcus Smith for his amazing try and the effort he put in tonight.
Jacob didn’t have his best night, but also didn’t let his head drop and put Alfie through beautifully late-on.

So glad Jimmy was on the pitch tonight.
A calming influence whilst fubar all around.

Yes - Jacob’s head dropped for a while but he got back on track and did well to put Alfie into the gap.

He will learn from this though and I suspect he will be back to normal on Sunday.

I love Jimmy but felt he had a very rough first half. Missed kick at goal, knock ons, missed tackles. 10/12 looked under pressure for much of the game.
