2nd Row
« on: October 18, 2020, 02:44:40 PM »
Have just seen on Myles Edwards’ Instagram someone wishing him well with his ‘next venture🏉’ as he departs from Heathrow...

Shame if he’s off already as thought he had some potential as a big carrier in the second row for us.
Know Blackett has said he expects Rowlands to be here next season but that could change very quickly I imagine.
Cardall and Theo are coming through well in the 4 and 5 shirts but only leaves us with 5 locks and some vey young or completely untried academy options - maybe worth retaining Douglas after all

Happy to be corrected, but I thought he only starts at Wasps at the start of the new season (20/21)? Maybe we are his “next venture”...

Have we still got Levi Douglas on the books? I liked him when he came of the bench recently.

Not sure about this. Edwards has definitely already started with Wasps, seen in training gear and I think has been included in injury updates before.

This Instagram post definitely has him leaving from Heathrow

Errm, the post was from 7 weeks ago, he appears to be wishing his mate luck. And, he is in Wasps training gear in the photo?
It was fine when I left it.....

It's the picture in his Instagram story that was taken at Heathrow.

Odd, I sit corrected, I can't find that on my Insta, perhaps he is going on loan somewhere, which would be really weird if we have just signed him?

Hypothetically speaking he'd be free to leave if he was forced to take a pay cut.

Been on his Instagram this week that Japan was his destination.
Now confirmed by the club that Myles Edwards has left the club.

Leaving us with:

Launchbury, Rowlands, Gaskell, Cardall, Vukasinovic (no one coming through or near ready just in the academy either.)
Going to be extremely light with the internationals gone.
Time to start that Du Plessis rumour again

Crikey, very strange he's left so abruptly. Perhaps we've got someone else lined up?
