Launchbury ain’t no ballet dancer

Up there with Cruse’s “peeing dog” celebration (sorry I can’t find a more eloquent way to describe it) after he scored his try. Initially thought he was injured ...   ;D

Enjoyed the game in the end, thought we were trying to make it hard for ourselves for a period, but the team clicked at times and looked more like the team that we were loving last season

Having Dan back was a boost, alongside the SR and that made Alfie look decently effective and enjoying his game.

Think we can now move on from here. Everyone ought to be feeling better - but not complacent.......don't think the coaching team are home to complacency.

I think we made hard work of it, although clicked for 10-15 mins in the second half which secured the 5 points.  Great to have Dan back and to see the scrum go so well, also another reasonable performance by Paolo and YY enjoying himself. However, Line out was still shaky (2 5m line outs in the first half botched) and Jimmy's kicking seems a worry (he probably needs a rest).

Mills and Fekitoa are hopefully not far off to give Jimmy a bit of down time.

Big test next week against Montpellier.

Hopefully will be able to keep the same team to play Montpellier, more or less. Blackett may want to rest a couple of the internationals.

Montpellier were pummelled at home by Leinster. They looked pretty flat-footed in the highlights real.

They were playing in cast-off Wasps strip.

Have they had problems with Covid ? See they have only played 8 games  in top 14 whereas some are on 11.

Suppose you’re going to puta bet on them in any case!

They weren't pummeled at all, the highlights don't do the game justice, neither does the scoreline.
We'll have to up our Sat performance by some margin to get anything from Montpel. They are very big, very powerful and very energetic. Their 2nd and back row are ridiculous monsters.
Great to get 5 point from Dragons but reality is that was a ravaged team that we made hard work of. While improved from the previous week the performance was nowhere close to what will be required next week. We still have a problem building pressure and continuity and against any half decent FULL team we'll struggle.

A Leinster team full of 'squad' players easily beat Montpellier. They were never behind. They scored when they needed to, particularly down the blindside and out wide.

The Montpellier 10 looked pedestrian [Lozowski], and they played 4 lock forwards and one back row [Willemsee, Chalureau, Van Rensburg, Du Plessis - all 6' 7" or above].

And it didn't work.

Dang Lozowski not catching a break. Would feel sorry for him but you know...

The Du Plessis is the one we were rumoured to be interested in. Probably end up in Manchester.
Let me tell you something cucumber
