Interesting that he wasn't included in that batch of players who re-signed. Wonder if his form will make the club rethink. I don't think he's ever had a dip in form to be honest and has always been good in the loose.

Good piece. Seems honest in his own appraisal and acceptance of how he fits in. Let’s hope we get a contract sorted out soon.

This will all come down to money. If TT leaves they will be able to pay him more and and still have extra cash in the bank and he'll stay, if TT stay's he'll leave. Personally I don't see it weakening us either way but financially we'd be better of letting TT go and keeping Cruise.

I hope we get to keep hold of Cruse as I really rate him and feel that the offers something more. I think Oghre will come into his own as he gets more experience but Cruse is a player I'd want to have around.

My favourite player right now, I very much hope we manage to re-sign him.

Tom said he is unable to discuss his contract negotiations- which tells me he has having contract negotiations (!) and indicates Wasps have made him at least one offer.

Unfortunately I can’t see Wasps retaining 4 hookers next season and it will be Tom or Tommy who leaves.

I have a suspicion both TT and Cruse may be out of contract, unless anyone knows differently?

What we want, as fans, is irrelevant. Wasps will have decided many months ago if they wanted them, and if so at what price. Offers will, as appropriate, have been made, or termination notified. Offers not accepted by now will likely have expired. That we have heard nothing means that they are off. It is just the 'to where' we do not know.

A lot probably comes down to whether they see that they actually have 4 hookers.

While Barbeary has been a hooker in the academy, he's still relatively new to that position and he's shown that he has skills in other positions too.

The club may see him as a back row option now and maybe emergency hooker cover.
If so, that maybe allows budget to keep 2 senior and 1 junior hooker

For me, Barbeary is an Ashley replacement, with at least 10 years of rampaging rugby in front of him.

Cruse is 31 so likely looking for this final contract. Taylor is 29 so a bit more rugby.

What I can't work out is how he squeezed his film day job inbetween representing Wasps.. sounds like an impossible mission

Ash only really had a couple of seasons in his dual role, and really it was a case of desperation that resulted in it happening.

In my opinion, Ash was 100% a back rower, who for a couple of seasons covered hooker too.

If clubs have budgets per position, then I'd expect that they apportioned the majority of Ash's costs to the back row budget.

If Lee's plan is to do the same with Alfie, then I can see us maybe keeping the other 3.

Not so difficult, just works knight and day.
