This ref is making some real interesting calls isn't he?

Novice ref at this level. Doesn't know how to use the TMO?

Despite the score some promising signs, not least a bit of ambition.

If the TMO thinks not interupting the ref to check on a clear gouge is acceptable then I'd fully back Joe and Lee if they refuse to carry on with the second half. There's no duty to player safety if they don't do anything. A potential citing makes no impact to us.

It is a sad thing when the citing officer makes it known within minutes that it will be reported and none of the on pitch squad see or do anything. Josh complaining should have at the least meant a review.  No wonder Joe is angry.

Poor first half.

We have the players to win this but we need to get the ref onside.

Alfie to come one for Thomas very soon?

The TMO should just be talking to him. But some of his calls are so inconsistent.

And while we've looked better than the utter shite we've served up in previous weeks, it means fuck all If we're behind on the score board - that's the only place that counts

Poor discipline, struggling physically in the set piece....sound familiar?

TMO not acting and simply marking for citing a potential indecent that is one of the most disgusting in our sport.....I am speechless.

Groundhog Day. Way behind on points. Scrum freewheeling backwards. Loads of penalties and inaccuracy. Oh, and the odd missed and then unchecked eye gouge for good measure. Too far behind again.

Not going to comment on the ref. We have been playing too far behind the gain line, and then losing ground in the kicking battles. We need to be attacking the line with more runners and more intent. But this is what happens often when we play Gopperth at 10 - having no real creativity at 12 (MLB can pass well but I don't think he is creative) really limits us.

At least Sione is getting involved and making some runs, as otherwise we don't look that up for it. None of the front 3 carrying much.

We also aren't going for turnovers at the moment, perhaps in an attempt to reduce the penalty count. Well, we are finding ways of giving them away in other situations.

Just seen full incident of eye contact.....that makes it worse....looks deliberate now...surely a red at half time is reasonable......it is disgusting!

Healey’s analysis and the view from the other angle doesn’t make the eye contact look good at all - no place for that in the game but surprisingly not angry at the ref as almost coming to expect some bad luck and strange decisions in our games now.

Vailanu is doing well but we need a bit more creativity from 9&10 to mix it up a bit after Vailanu has made ground

We should be playing against 14 men.

But...
That didn't help us last week.

If we want to achieve anything, we need to be able to beat 15 players, so there's no point in continuing to cry over their man not getting a deserved red card

Graham Hughes was the TMO who didn't consider Thorley's red card to even be a penalty. He needs to be retired.
