The club seem a little slow on this one - think he was in France from last week

I'm reading it as a bit of a problem for Douglas. Let go from a short term contract by Wasps. Signed a very short term medical joker contract with Toulon. So he could quite feasibly have no club in a very short time (4 or 5 games??). Hope it doesn't come to that for him.

Strange things are afoot at Ricoh. We are either cutting costs right down knowing that we can’t be relegated to save some cash in the short term or optimistically there is something big brewing either in terms of signings or commercially that might lead to signings.
Another thought might this be something to sweeten the fact that Brookes is resigning with us and not Toulon maybe breaking a pre-contract agreement? Wishful thinking maybe but we can all dream.

Well with the naming rights announced there was a big commercial announcement in the offing. Now I expect to see some player announcements: Anthony Watson anyone?

Would be nice, but won't be any use at tighthead or in the second row.

He did play for Oyonnax in 2015 but we signed him from Bath.

As much as someone in Gloucester would know the general area of Exeter.

Now now. He has lived in East France and played in the area. Having travelled from near Oyannax to Grenoble to watch Wasps a few years ago it wasn't that far - and he wouldn't have stopped frequently to look at the mountains.

Makes his move from us early even more odd if the plan was never for him to stay in Toulon, especially as we allowed him to go. He has got considerable gametime for them - irony is he probably would have got it with us with the injuries we’ve had.
Wonder if the Bayonne move was already sewn up or not before he left us

Weird, weird, weird. Can't pretend to understand what's at play here.
