Exeter may be changing their branding afterall

Although not confirmed, it appears the bad press and pressure from various groups is making them change their stance

Good news and well done to Wasps for making the stand a few months ago. Got some stick from some people but I'd like to think it helped speed up this decision from Exeter.

Looks like a Mongol Warrior to me.  Not sure this is quite the Celtic chieftain they were going for...

Looks like Jack Nowell posed for it , should have made helmet blue.

The helmet is, for such a simple image, relatively representative of what a Celtic Chieftain would have worn, as is the face/facial hair. More opportunities for merchandising. Celts also traditionally played the carnyx, brass horns and drums into battle, but I can't see the carnyx at a game. Awful sound that makes. Celtic War Drums yes.

Historically accurate or not, I think it looks terrible!

Would have been better off going away form any representation of "Chief" and concentrating on Exeter or Devon IMO.
but I'm not a PR/Brand specialist, so what do I know :)

A Celtic chieftain is far more appropriate. Glad they're changing it.

I suppose it could be worse — a purple helmet for example…
