Anyone picking anything up about us signing David Meiheizen from Stormers? Lock at 6ft 9 and 20 stone.

Saw this link on DW earlier -

https://www.rugbyworld.com/countries/scotland/the-south-african-lock-on-scotlands-radar-119215

If he goes anywhere it will be Edinburgh  or Glasgow to further his international ambitions. No mention of us.

That’s all I could find. Just a poster on there saying we’ve signed him or as good as. No idea as to the reliability.

Immediately as both his mother and grandfather are Scottish so no need for residency.

The story in rugby world is a year old, but he said he would finish his current contract. That suggests he would be a free agent June 2022.

Twitter suggests he also has English heritage, so might also be EQP? I wasn't aware we needed another lock? Maybe one is off? Suggestions? Maybe TV? He maybe signed a 1 year extension for this year, which maybe hasn't really worked out (hasn't he been at Ampthill?).

Theo is still doing his rehab I think.

Adding to our lock stocks seems a bit indulgent

Fifita to be the back row replacement for Thomas Young?

Good idea, but our depth at 6 is better than our depth at 7, so I'm unsure.

We may be week stocked in the 2nd row.
But we've had Fifita playing there most of the season, who we probably signed as a back row to cover at lock, and I believe we've also had Shields playing 2nd row.... And a short term signing of de chaves.

All in all, we've scraped through, but it's not like it's been easy
