Am I right in thinking that most of the French referees are able to speak English with British teams but only one or two of the English referees try to get points across in French? The one who refereed Ulster v Clermont did a good job in conveying points in French.

I like Karl, but I think he's had a few mediocre games recently. It looks to me like he's still finding his place as "Sir" rather than being one of the lads.

That said, I'm happy about the appointment and think he's got a good future as a top class ref.
