Having experience at 15 is big for a centre these days. The 50/22 means you need at least 2 players back at all times, and it only takes a small amount of kick tennis/chase for it to be very possible that a centre needs to fall back there.

Now Nearchou is doing another year in the academy I don’t think anyone else is there in a second or third year FT. Tunney and Pichardie are still at uni for another year I think.

It is great our U18s are producing so much quality but this is going to really cause us some issues in the future trying to keep everyone. A welcome problem though after some quieter years on the production line

Fingers crossed if they perform as expected, when it comes to contract renewals it'll fall around the same time as the cap starts to creep back up - so might be less of a problem that we perhaps think.

Not all players that are good at u18 or Academy level will make it to the first team, so there will always be some "natural wastage"

Just seen that Nearchou and TV3 on the bench for Ampthill this weekend against Richmond - good for them to both get some gametime again and good to see Theo back from injury too
