I'm getting a lot of crowd noise and what sounds like the occasional Russian commentary faintly in the background?

No problem with sound apart from ref mic sounds a bit fuzzy. Good opening 13 mins , just a shame behind.

HT 22-7.

The Beeb says that the venue is Twyford Avenue. No it's not. It's at the CBSA.

FT 30-14 Bp win for girls. Good open game with some lovely scrum dominance , and no time wasting ,with quick play.

Has been talk on here about double header with women having early game. If this was to happen I think men would have to up their game to make it the main event for entertainment .

I saw most of the game and was very impressed. Dominant scrum and defensive effort.

Very enjoyable.

Based on what I saw, the ladies were streets better than the men have been. Their all round game is so much better. They play like a team, a feat our mens team cannot seem to manage at the best of times.

Was at the match, for defending champions Quins were poor, their set piece was a mess, I think they got pinged for about 5 to 6 not straight lineouts.
Wasps set out their intention in the scum from about the 1st minute, Quins got their 1st scrum penalty in the last 5-10 mins, only after Maud Muir went off after playing Loosehead, moving to Tightwad and getting subbed off after 70mins.

Was great to see how much the win meant to the team, after applauding the crowed they sung a Black and Yellow Bonnet while standing on the touchline facing the West stand where we were all sitting.

I’ve always been impressed by the way they get on with the game, although I thought the ref could have marched Quins back a couple of times for petulant acts like kicking the ball away after he’d blown for an offence.

Watched it on iPlayer yesterday and yes our girls were as impressive as Quins were poor.

Wasps Women are well worth watching as with Abbey Dow and Ellie Boatman in full flow they are scoring tries for fun.
