Just watched it back.
Was very scrappy and the wind really did not help with Miller kicking out on the full a few times and Crossdale struggling under the high ball.

Apart from the 9s, who were very good I don’t think anyone in the backs played particularly well at all. Not much cohesion there and lots of individuals playing together it would seem. Atkinson going off didn’t help but Hougaard barely got a pass, Odogwu barely passed and there were lots of silly mistakes, Booj, Miller and Crossdale very rusty.
Much better in the forwards but Hislop again struggling at the scrum.

Hard to tell really how the game went from those. Some of the tries weren't particularly fluent. it also looked like we nearly butchered a couple, and made quite a few errors again.

Very good try from Porter but unfortunately followed it up with a charge down. Carr also got a nice try

If you freeze the video it's patently obvious that the Sale forward creeps forward in front of the back foot when Porter moves his body prior to moving the ball and keeps going.

Unfortunately both Ref and AR are looking at the Wasps line, so missed it completely. They should really split their duties so 1 checks attack and 1 defence.

We should have posted a guard to avoid it happening though. Hope he learns from this.
