It's the same story for the whole squad I think. We just need a bit of consistency in selection.

I suspect there are a number that are taking knocks in to games that impairs their performance. But that is normal. What is not normal is that we have nowhere to go. We had to borrow a prop from a Championship side for the Sarries game (he actually played quite well considering). That's how empty the barrel is. I suspect that Nemo should have had some time off at the start of the season, but we could not afford it. How many others were the same I wonder?

Look at poor Josh Bassett, until last weekend he had played pretty much every game, and took quite a few knocks in some of them (where he had to come off). What rest has WLR had? Or Daly. Something has to give, otherwise their performance just falls off a cliff. Player welfare anybody?

Everyone is fighting a battle at the moment.

Some of the players will be carrying knocks that are affecting their games.
Some will be regularly changing position and/or combination partners each game.
Others will be playing out of position
And some will be trying to cover for other players who are caught out of position, or slow out of the blocks because of their knocks.

It has a huge effect on the team, and so far this season we're probably about as low as we can go, but we're still battling away.

The end of the year is approaching, some players are due back from injuries in weeks now rather than months and a few more are approaching that change too.

Could there be a customary (of old) late surge in the league with returning players both eager and rested ready for the run in?

I hope so

That would certainly be nice!
