Late kick off

It's funny, normally by this time of the afternoon on Game day I'm either approaching the Ricoh, or I'm starting to get nervous counting off the minutes until kick off.

But today the sense of anticipation is a little lacking.  It may be because the competition has lost a lot of it's appeal this year after the earlier results.  I'm not sure I really want us to go through, I don't think we have the strength to compete on two fronts, and the GP is more important.  Or it may simply be because it'a the afternoon and I've still got two and a half hours to wait.  Normally the match is the focus of my day, because it's late it simply isn't today.

Hopefully I'll still be excited later, but it's hard to say.

Odd travelling up in almost twilight. Plus bit of a downer having to travel back so late but hopefully the roads will be quieter.

I thought Exe looked curiously flat. Glaws definitely wanted it more.

Once again for Exe, if plan A goes awry there doesn't appear to be much in the way of a plan B.

Playing at 5:30 yesterday made the day feel very lopsided although the journey to and from the Ricoh was quiet. Getting 13500 there was a decent achievement considering our current form, time of year and time of game, I suspect the £5 tickets helped a bit.

Yes. 13,500 considering the circumstances, late KO, televised game, and on a pre-Christmas Saturday, was excellent. Better than I expected.
