Probably worth paying some interest to again this season.
We’ve had ties with them for a while with TV3 playing a bit there last year as well as Tom Bacon and Fyn Brown and Ollie Hartley and Nearchou playing there regularly.

This season Nearchou is back there as well as Hardwick who play today against Sarries, there is also a ‘Craven’ at 9 so potentially our academy 9 Harry. Cam Dodson will also be on loan there eventually.

Thanks JonnyD

I am planning to go to the Ampthill game tonight and will keep an eye out for the Wasps.

[I have sold my house but not completed on the next one so stuck in a tiny unfurnished flat. Even going to watch Saracens is better than staying at home]

Is ex-Wasp Harvey still Head Coach at Jersey?

Just saw this myself, good news for Hardwick starting at his age at this level, a great sign.

Exciting centre prospects there - these guys were a good combination at u18 level for a few years (outside Atkinson) so will be interesting to see how they develop at this level.

Is anyone able to confirm whether this is Harry Craven, our academy 9 starting?

Harry has shared the team sheet on his Instagram Story so it would appear so.

Good news, will give him a follow.

Thinking about it, this isn’t the best drive for the lads who I assume mostly live at or near the training ground.

Maybe a 90 min drive? Good opportunity for them and lots of car sharing opportunities but wonder how many times they have to go there a week to train as well as the match days

I wouldn't assume that they live 'local' to Cov.

When I watched the U18's a few weeks ago, they came from all over the South (M40 corridor).

Is the 12 “our” Hartley? Surprised if so, i’d like to see him as at least a travelling reserve.

There's a fair smattering of Wasps in that squad. The Ash connection is strong!

Just to follow up on my earlier point, there's a good Wasps connection at Jersey too.

Harvey Biljon (2000-2006) is their Director of Rugby and just signed a new contract until 2029.
He's been doing a fantastic job....and will definitely end up in the Premiership one day (in my opinion).

Rob Webber (2007-2012) is their Head Coach....moving up from Forwards Coach.

I just find it pleasing that the rugby intelligence some Wasps players pick up in their time with us is transferred over into becoming good coaches and teachers of the game.
And it's not always the ones you think it will be.

Jersey win 36-21.

Ricky on the scoresheet for Ampthill.
