VV and others, I'd like to add my thanks for the community aspect especially. I've not been able to get to many games in the last 5 years due to a variety of med issues and I've valued the people that I've met virtually who've been engaging and often very kind.

I do hope there is some version of the future that includes such a forum as it's one of the first things I check in the morning and makes going to newspaper based rugby less necessary

If we do see each other in real life - I'd be glad to stand my round....especially in cider land!

I certainly have no plans to close this site down. But I wonder how long it will last with no rugby to bring us together. Like an eternal off season with no speculation

Most contributors on here seem more than happy to discuss other teams and players as well as Waspish things. and The Hierarchy will provide a lot to ''comment'' on in the rest of the season,  plus seeing how our players get on in  their new (hopefully temporary) homes.  There is more to come.

At least in a real off season we have in and out comings. Now all we can look forward to is a growing list of departing talent. However how many will be successful this late is anyone's guess

I’m quite happy to keep chipping in, I suspect we’ll have plenty of Wasps topics to discuss for quite some time.

I found it hilarious that a 23 year old was playing on a key board in his mums room on a Friday night.

Sadly, in our financially strapped country, I doubt if this is unusual these days.

If indeed he is 23 - more like 15 or 16 having done his homework.  Badly.

Thanks VV, trolls never bother me, but they have been clogging up the threads recently.

I think it really sank in today, no morning all, no wondering how players will fair and all of the discussion before a game. The optimist in me has conceeded.

This has been a great place to come to when needing a break from the real world, seems odd to lose its reason for being.

I hope this community can keep going as I have visited this site daily for a while now after being a season ticket holder during the whole of our time at Adams Park and a year at The Ricoh where we sat just down the row from Wonky.
I could not support another premiership team so hope that our Wasps can re-form and somehow come back to where we want them to be. In the meantime I wil probably start to watch Henley or Chinnor which are our two most local clubs.
So many great memories over the years!! I so hope something comes up at the 11th hour and 59 minutes but have been living in dwindling hope ever since the first of the recent announcements.
Thanks for all your time and effort in running the site VV.

I thought it was hilarious he claimed he was a 23 year old who’d come home from the pub for an early night to prepare for a big day travelling to Cardiff! Was he walking there??

Thanks for the site VV. It’s comforting to be able to check in with other Waspies during this sad time.

He has a bit of a rep on the 'other' forum as well. A bit sad there is no better use of his time.

As a relatively new member I'm pleased I survived the cull.

Seriously though, efforts appreciated VV. Positive contributions make this what it is, and debate is essential - but informed and balanced debate rather than one sided mud slinging.

Social media in general tends towards groups reinforcing a particular view and shouting it, rather than listening to the arguments of others.

Anyway. On we go.
