Stratford’s football ground holds 3k and a bit of scaffolding, à la Bath, might get that closer to the magic 5k.

Is the pitch big enough for rugby?

Nuneaton £5k? Banbury Town 6,500? Lots of clubs like that about.

Perhaps we could call ourselves M40 Wasps to give us maximum flexibility.

High Wycombe anyone?

I think it’s virtually impossible that we’ll be building our own stadium.

+1 Agreed. Contribute, yes. Pay for, no.

Why? Richmond and London Scottish ground share.

However they both originated (pre-professional era) from that area, and were sort-of combined when they and London Irish were grouped to form the Professional London Irish team.

Warriors and Wasps have no shared history (other than both being financial failures).

What about the Alexander Stadium?

18K Capacity roughly, 45 mins roughly from Henley on Arden and top spec outfit. If we could rent for a bit it would be a great option. Whether we could purchase long term would be up in the air but it would be a good one in my opinion.

Won't isolate our current fanbase in Cov and makes it potentially easier for London fans to.

It would be a truly awful matchday experience. I went once for an athletics meet. You can't see or hear anything from the stands of what is going on in the middle of the track. For watching track events it is fine. Also, from recollection, the seating was on a relatively low upwards slope (not steeper like football and rugby stadia seating is).

Midlands Hurricanes Rugby League due to play out of there in future.
