Part of all team coaching is person management and OF is a hard one as without any pressure at IC, he's probably more than useful. (I personally think Sam Hill at Sale has had his best season in ages and oddly looking just what England might need - but for another day!) But OF plays best with Ford at 10, someone not afraid to tell him where to get off.
So in part, Borthwick would need to make v few changes - but have a starting XV that plays more like a team and less like a set of nervous newbies that met in the car park (to exaggerate rather!)
England are playing as less than the sum of their parts. But a change to a unit of a backrow and a better back three, playing to strengths at set piece, and you have a team that's v hard to beat. And not one trying to be something they're not.
