Fiver on Five

Cipriani is on 5Live at he moment.  He is talking about his autobiography.  He is coming over well.. in my opinion.  I  think the interviewer was expecting something different!

He's covered mental issues, rugby culture, dishonesty within various coaching set ups, why Wade left and now he's talking about Eddie Jones and the South Africa experience.

He came across very well.

The one thing that stuck out for me was him saying how Dai Young gave Wade and him a b0II0cking for a rehearsed try celebration, and how that seemed to start-off Wades falling-out-of-love with Rugby. I had always assumed it was more the England thing.

I enjoyed listening to Cips's interview with Jim Hamilton. Doesn't sound like he's been too complimentary of Dai in his book either though.

Dai only ever got results with Cipriani around.
He was a conservative coach who found himself in charge of the Harlem Globetrotters of rugby. Unsurprising they don't see eye to eye.

The bit about Christian starts at 1:42.

Although Dai isn't mentioned by name it is obvious to Wasps fans who it must be.

Thanks for posting that link. I was going to buy his auto biography but after listening to him speaking such utter b0110x for 30 mins I will give it a miss. I dont think I can handle such levels of BS for a few nuggets of rugby info.

My personal feeling is that Dai was lacking in man-management, and resorted (imho) to bullying and to subjecting certain players to being invisible for up to a couple of weeks at a time.  Unjustifiably.  Thank goodness another club had (and I'm NOT knocking Wasps here)  the nous to say ''Enough is more than enough. Goodbye.''

Just catching up with this interview this morning. Danny comes across really well, a couple of comments about Dai.
