Sadly gone but always going to have huge respect and admiration for his ability and the loyalty he has shown to the club. Whatever others may say that its about the facilities, I will believe him that he want's a fresh challenge and can understand if it was in the pursuit of trophies as we probably missed our best show for a few years with the Champ Cup Semi vs Sarries and the Prem Final vs Exeter.

I wish him all the best and success in the future.

Thank God that has been let out. Now let's see if we get some good news this week. They need to give some kind of uplift!

Well at least it isn't a shock! Also no surprise the training ground rumour was just that, a rumour.

Disappointing, but throughly unsurprising.  And based on this season excluding the England game, not a massive loss to the squad.

Sad to see a long term Wasp leave though.

If it is not the training ground clause just wonder what the clause was then? Don't like cov want to be nearer to london clause? Not won anything clause? Santa Clause?

Still a sad day particularly for those of you with long term connections to him through the years at wasps.

May have just been a 2+1 clause. Or a "I can join the champions if I want." clause.

So he is going but:
- nothing to do with the training facilities
- nothing suggesting he is joining Sarries - so they won’t have to pay us anything as compensation
- he had signed up for another season - so why have we let him go early. I assume he isn’t joining Wade in American football.
We could keep debating the whys through until the next close season.

Sad day given the amount of time we’ve watched him play for and how he’s developed over that time. Excellent servant for the club, really came of age against Leinster at the RDS and Ricoh.

Not too worried about the rate of turnover. Feels like the club is having a busy year for players, rumours, financially etc. Lots of moving parts so if someone would like to leave, we should let them. Lots of talent coming in and so far, only Jeff will miss preseason etc. Nice change!

I quite agree. Thank goodness it's out in the open. Now (hopefully) everyone, including Elliot, can move on.

Bristol announcing a signing at 7, currently trailering it with "it happened again" couldn't be Daly following Hughes surely despite all the Saracens talk?

Gutted. Thanks Elliot, great player. Best of luck. :(

If it's Bristol I will take an irrational dislike to them!
