Wasps Rugby Discussion / Re: Wasps Player Ratings

Gopperth, Umaga, Robson all over marked in my view. Even after sleeping on it, all had stinkers. If others are available, I would bench all 3 next week. We seem to tolerate poor performance too much which seldom works for any team environment

Genuine question to throw out there. With the players at our disposal and the way we are and have been playing for a long time is it time to start looking at the coaching
A reasonable thing to expect Covkid. Something ain’t right, that’s for sure

Unbelievable how far he has fallen in such a short space of time. Didn’t he nearly retire a while back to focus on his legal career? Probably should have done so based on how he officiates these days

Agree with other posters on the match thread, we have too many journeymen, players being carried by the likes of Shields, Willis brothers, Stooke, Launchers (now he is back), Barbeary, Odogwu, Cruse (when fit)…..running out of names now !

Jimmy looks like he has tuned out. Dobby looks like he has lost his edge since he is no longer part of Englands plans. It pains me to see the mess we are in now

Lee needs to be worried. Feels like the last days of Dai’s era right now from a performance perspective.

How crap was that. We did well to get a bonus point which we didn’t deserve. So many players not at the races. Good effort from Brad, Tom and Jack again. Apart from Paolo and Porter when he came on, the backs were anonymous . If only Mills wasn’t made of glass and could make it onto the pitch a few games on the trot

Another point. Jimmy has been getting worse all year.
time waits for no man. Playing like a 39 year old (albeit a good one)

Awful TMO decision. When did Barnes become so awful. Well done Porter , again !

Porter has done well again coming on. Earned his chance to start next time I think. Let Dobby play his way back into some type of form from the bench. Doesn’t feel like we should be within 4 points at this stage. We have been poor

We have really gone off the boil these past few games. So frustrating to watch. Our defence is lightweight at times. We don’t deserve any better than we are getting. Boy I miss the days when we used to come on strong as the season comes to a close

Very sloppy all over. Umaga extremely lucky on his try. No excuse for that. Nobody near him, just far to casual. Dobby off the boil again that half. Only 2 points in it though. Can’t be as bad 2nd half surely

Bumped into Brad and his lovely family this morning in Marlow and had a little chat. Asked him to smash the salary cheats tomorrow. He said “we are due one against them”. Seemed to be pretty confident but then I would expect nothing less from him ! 😀

This is dire. Just hope there are no more injuries.

You may be right Hopwood. Clock really ticking now though for me.

Ryan Mills out due to illness. If he didn’t have bad luck he would have no luck at all ! Not working out for him and Wasps it seems. Real shame all round
