Wasps Rugby Discussion / 2021/22 Heineken Champions Cup
« on: June 28, 2021, 03:24:58 PM »
I see they have announced the set up for next season, same as last season with pools of 4.
So for Wasps that means we get one of the following, 1 Leinster Rugby, 2 Munster Rugby, 1 Stade Toulousain, 2 Stade Rochelais

Wasps Rugby Discussion / Sam Burgess

Worth listening to the latest House of Rugby podcast.
Sam talking to Hask and Alex Payne, being quite frank about his career, and time with Union.
Safe to say he won't be on the Ford's christmas card list......

Wasps Rugby Discussion / Will Rowlands
« on: April 26, 2020, 08:07:26 AM »
Two different comments in the Rugby Paper today.
One from Fissler saying Dragons are interested, a small footnote in a larger dragons story.
The other in a short interview with Will where he says he has another season on his contract at Wasps which he is looking forward to fulfilling.
Looks like he will be at Wasps next season but guess we will lose him the season after if he is still getting regular game time for Wales.

Wasps Rugby Discussion / 2 matches this weekend
« on: March 06, 2020, 07:34:59 AM »
I have in my diary that we have the Premiership game against Glaws tomorrow, then the A-League game against Glaws on Sunday.
However looking at the Wasps website fixtures list it has both happening at the same time on Saturday. Hope this is a mistake on the website as it would seem very counter productive to have both at the same time, not to mention impacting on crowd at the A-League game.
Anyone heard if this is real or a mistake?

Wasps Rugby Discussion / O/T - Birmingham & Solihull (Pertemps) Bees
« on: June 06, 2019, 11:42:01 AM »
A club Wasps fans remember from years gone by has gone through some tough times but seems to hit an even worse position today.
Not sure of the full details but they were promoted to National League 2 South last season but have dropped straight back (a points deduction didn't help) to Midlands Premier, where they would have joined Broadstreet.
But they have announced today that they are withdrawing from the Midlands League and transitioning to be an amateur side. Also applying to join the Greater Birmingham Merit League.
Seems to be issues throughout all levels of Rugby which need to be sorted out before we lose a lot of great clubs.

Wasps Rugby Discussion / Last 4 Rounds
« on: April 10, 2019, 01:51:04 PM »
Bit of fun at lunchtime today, so haven't spent too much time thinking about it but had a look at the last 4 Premiership weekends and where certain teams might end up, my thoughts are below, interested to hear others opinions. A few results that people may not agree with but overall I think relegation is down to this weekend.
I think Falcons will beat Tigers and think Sharks will beat Warriors, I then don't see another game where Warriors could win, the game against Sharks is probably it.
I also think Wasps might just scrape 6th, but that really depends on the Bath game which I think we could win (assuming we win against Quins), plus bonus points vs Sarries & Chiefs, but it could easily be Wasps, Bath or Saints in 6th.
I've also tried to guess bonus points as I think they will be critical in the final table.
So dissect away and tell me I'm completely wrong etc etc, as there are a few I'm not convinced on myself, and see how wrong I am after this weekend
Current Table

Wasps Rugby Discussion / Sarries vs Munster
« on: April 04, 2019, 08:06:57 AM »
I see tickets are now available to Wasps STH from an email I got yesterday evening from Wasps, just had a look, prices range from £20 to £65, but not many available currently, I assume due to allocation to Sarries & Munster first before going on general sale.
