Wasps Rugby Discussion / Article in mail on Odogwu
« on: January 15, 2023, 11:58:40 AM »
Interesting interview covering racial problems ( though seems not a problem at Wasps due to being a diverse lot already) . Enjoying time Paris , with no decision at moment about playing for a country as he wants to secure full time contract.
Also seems there are boxes of his and Umaga’s designer rugby tops sitting somewhere ,seized in the winding up

At least it’s a fairly positive story, apart from making sure funds are there for womens team and fixtures becoming walkovers.

Got to admire ‘business as usual’
Like the way it says meet first team players subject to training schedule, rather than if team exists.
Doesn’t say where to be held . Does training centre have swimming pool?

Wasps Rugby Discussion / Two Welsh clubs being lined up
« on: September 25, 2022, 09:29:42 AM »
To take places if us and Worcester go to the wall.
In Rugby Paper today ( behind paywall) as an exclusive by our friend Neil Fissler. I know it’s been discussed about league including Welsh sides but would have been all four. How would it sit with wru, or fans( thinking no local derbies).

Can’t see how they are tying in rankings and ethics in the same job- unless World Rugby are admitting that tier system has been unethical all along.

Whilst some of this may be due to less people attending in person (especially PRTV) I am encouraged/hopeful that spin off may be better attendances next season, or even interest in local clubs

Think some of you probably are aware of this ,but hasn’t been mentioned here or indeed press . Hopefully some paperwork has not arrived ? Seems notice of delay was issued exactly same time last year with no further complication.
