Carley and the three officials had an absolute shocker, Scrum calls for Wasps went to Glaws and sending hookers off a joke…. Final lineout seemed to be TMO calling for penalty for in at the side !!

Haven’t posted for a very long time, quite disillusioned with Rugby to be honest, I can recall being at 8/10 of these games, missing the first and the last (courtesy of BA deciding to fly back home…….) Abiding memories Dave Walker missed kick for a win in atrocious weather, and being drowned  on the way back to hotel …. Nathan last minute try and of course Rob Howley better known as Poitrensud howler
Great times, made many great friends but won’t be there on Sunday ( wonder if we even can field a team this week

Due to Phil the greeks funeral I had to watch in catch up after playing golf, thought we were decent in first half plenty of good attacking play, but lots of inaccuracies. Should gave been 10 or more pints ahead. Second half made unpleasant viewing and to be honest watched in about 10 minutes and we seemed to lose the plot, season over and time to start again and plan fOr next season. Umaga looked more confident but worrying that we are losing so many who played today.... and their replacements   Not exactly filling  me with confidence .   Not really an unexpected result, but would of expected a better show from the squad.

Clearly Frank Murphy has still not recovered from the Lewsey hit in 2007 Final, some of his decision making today was questionable. That was shed loads better than any other performance this season but yet again we managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory....... still utterly dejected nearly two hours later 😱😱

Thank god the golf courses are opening on Monday, time to focus on something I enjoy  again, That was a dire waste of a late afternoon. Can’t even blame the referee. Low skill levels low confidence, complete lack of leadership...... I can’t think of one decent performance this year, I will be back next week but it’s getting harder and harder....

Miller was excellent but probably should  have had an HIA and then wouldn’t of reacted being hit a second time pretty heavily. his try and Bassett’s finish were meagre highlights. Scrum struggled lineout shocking snd brain fart penalties ain’t gonna win games

Groundhog Day yet again, another waste of an afternoon watching poor officiating on top of a hopeless approach to the game. Countless dubious decisions the ted card in my view was a tad harsh fekitoa yellow nonsense deliberate knockout which numpty called that.... the wheeled scrum the forward pass on their second try, I was just waiting for Carley to argue with Joe in the stands. The game not just Wasps is becoming unwatchable, if only I could go out next Friday night........

Wasps Rugby Discussion / Re: Knock on
« on: March 01, 2021, 05:39:04 PM »
My issue is that week in week out their are so many poor decisions not just for Wasps that it becomes a lottery, we were definitely not good enough, probably not deserving to lose but time and time again the decisions were poor the referee was way too inexperienced, kept screwing up the countless scrums , line out were never straight. Gaske;l was penalised for grabbing the arm on a throw in that was so left of the Irish it was a joke.  the commentators mentioned the two wheeled scrums either side of half time and gave both decision to Irish.

I haven't renewed my season ticket and frankly very unlikely to go to another live game....... I have fallen out with the love for the game and really have better ways to spend my time and money.....
