Wasps Rugby Discussion / Permanent Reductions?
« on: May 20, 2020, 02:37:40 PM »
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/rugbyunion/article-8337483/Wasps-Gloucester-clubs-warn-players-25-cent-pay-cuts-continue.html

Article claims Wasps are making the cuts permanently. Interesting that we seem to be re-signing players at ease, I wonder what the basis is. If true, it speaks to the group of players we have compared to the Tigers mercenaries that were speaking to lawyers. Or is it a case of better to be in a boat than off seeking one to get into?

Interesting times ahead..

Wasps Rugby Discussion / Ricoh not suitable for return

Not knowing the area, is it true that there are no training opportunities nearby, or not close enough to be considered secure/safe?

Terrible. Negative ply from wasps turns a 5 meter attacking lineout to a LI try in 3 phases through individual errors yet again.
7-0

Wasps Rugby Discussion / Oh No, Not Another Sarries Thread..Yes But..
« on: February 22, 2020, 05:13:03 PM »
An interesting thread going on on the EA site regarding season tickets.
Vociferous supporters of Sarries the blemish free brand that did nothing wrong and will support all day every day in any possible ways, with pride...except that worm has turned when it comes to the tangible task of literally putting their money where their mouth is....
What i didnt realize, as described by a supporter, that his season ticket equates to 150 quid a game...How are these rugby folk being charged that amount of cash for a game of rugby? - and no, he doesn't have a box.

Wasps Rugby Discussion / Quins Sarries
« on: January 26, 2020, 04:43:23 PM »
Sarries absolutely spanked by Quins second team
Sarries without their 3 internationals in every position is an indication of what Sarries within the cap looks like.
Also interesting to see that players that look good within their systems, supported by Intls look decidedly average without that structure around them...recruiting DOR's beware.
They dont react well to losing  ;D

Wasps Rugby Discussion / Enough of Salarycens, Back To Wasps
« on: January 21, 2020, 04:10:04 PM »
They drain my energy, having just listened to Venter on The Rugby Pod, he's as big a knob off the pitch as he was on it...so, important block of games coming up, some bottom fodder Vs bottom fodder fixtures. We have some winnable games coming up to separate from the dregs and dare i say challenge the 6th spot.

I dont expect many changes from the drubbing.
Gaskell to start for me, will be well rested and bring a lot, especially with Launch missing.
Sops looking better the last couple of games, good timing. Might see JdJ at 13 if Fekitoa has a knock, Gops to start at 12 again. Thought Miller had a decent outing, I expect to see him retain that jersey even with Minozzi back.
The 9 jersey..i'd like to see if a change helps our play, maybe Wolly to start, Dan as bench option if things aren't working out?
We have a clear front and back row, so no change required.

Wasps Rugby Discussion / Potential Salary Dispensation For A Season
« on: January 20, 2020, 02:58:29 PM »
If this happens I may explode, implode..whatever.

RugbyPass understands that there have been talks with Premiership Rugby Limited to allow for a one-season salary cap dispensation, so that current Premiership teams may be able to pick these players up whilst, in theory, Saracens spend just the one season in English rugby’s second tier.

Wasps Rugby Discussion / Done Up Like Kippers
« on: January 18, 2020, 02:49:53 PM »
Is the thread title on their board. I question whether any other team has supporters like them, ..I honestly doubt it, they take 'morons' to a whole new level. Its sooo bad I felt compared to share it.

...is what Saracens have been.

This former rugby supporter now re-defines himself as a Saracens supporter, and only and strictly a Saracens supporter. The rest of English elite rugby can go @#$%& itself.

I'm looking forward to a visit to Goldington Road next season (always a pleasure) but when Sarries are back in the Prem, no away games for me. The bitter, envious clubs who have so shafted Sarries will not see another penny of my money. My away budget will instead be spent on a couple of trips to see my second-favourite club, ASM Clermont Auvergne.

I have been at every final Sarries have been in but, if Sarries ever get to the Prem final again, I'll not be there. Why? Because the gate money gets "smoothed" across the entire Prem, the @#$%&.

I will not even support England anymore. I'm supporting France in the 6N.

@#$%& you English rugby, @#$%& you to hell.
