We  currently have a squad of Wasps players who are OUR players. Any consideration of alternatives is a disservice to them. We should give all our players our full support.

Why would we need to consider any hypothetical replacements until someone is actually about to leave or retire?

I guess the OP was just playing a version of fantasy rugby, in effect, and was, in a way, extolling huge confidence in our  boys by saying "who would you take from England/6N"- which is not the sort of comment you make unless you are hugely confident that the team approaches international standards. I am sure it is meant to be no more disrespectful than asking "who would get into our 2005 team". I certainly took it to be a bit of fun.......

When I chose some options as replacements for our existing players, I made a point to say that it was purely on playing ability.
The point I was trying to make, as had been made previously by someone else, is that there's a difference between playing ability and squad morale.

In the real world, I wouldn't have all those players I mentioned as I'm sure it would affect what is a great team dynamic that we have

However, I don't see a problem in highlighting potentially better players in some fantasy world

When I first posted it was in mind that we had been bemoaning England. I was interested in who we would be happy to see in a wasps shirt, but would also add value to the way we play our game.

The reason I said swap was just to try and focus the mind on just good our current players are as a team, before replacing them in a fantasy type team .

It’s been great reading the various opinions , and interesting that only 3 foreign players have been mentioned( sorry Hymenoptera can’t give you Piatau). Or that no one has mentioned Youngs or Farrell !

So overall it would appear we are relatively happy with our team before the season starts, with maybe concerns in our forwards (if salary cap allowed).

Who knows ,by 1st of Jan we could clamouring for a complete change !

Allez! Allez! Allez!

Strange as this season is, after only a handful of games January will be when recruitment for the 2021/22 season starts since players coming to the end of contracts can be approached.
