My understanding is that they need to make a complaint first, then if there is a case to be heard it goes to the European Court. They have made a complaint, so that is step 1. From what I've read it could take over a year before there is a decision on whether it should go to court.

I would imagine the complaint is that the UK Government a allowed state aid in the sale of the Ricoh...but that is just a guess. Where that leaves us regards to all this, I don't know.

CCFC have weeks or days to let the EFL know where they are playing next season.

I think May 29th is the final date. That's just 2 weeks away.

Sisu claiming the Euro commission stuff is not "Legal Action" so shouldn't be reason to stop the potential lease deal.

Hopefully Wasps haven't signed anything yet so can simply change the lease terms to include the Euro Commission stuff as "Legal Action". Or just say bye bye.

Went to Europe in February. Wonder if Wasps were aware. It seems to have been kept very quiet. Hope to hell Wasps have legally kept themselves from signing any agreements yet.

The fact SISU are doing this.. or perhaps even started months ago without Wasps knowing makes me think that Wasps should wash their hands of CCFC/Otium and move forward as how can they trust CCFC/Otium not to try something else next autumn.. next year.

At some point you just have to draw a line under things and move on

So this complaint was made in February. That is well before the Supreme Court threw out Sisu's appeal. Did CCC know, did Wasps know, did the Supreme Court know? :o Were they in fact obliged to inform anyone? Does the complaint require a defense (rebuttal) and hence more money being spent?

Presumably we will get statements from all parties.

Sky Sports News reporting the deal is now blocked with a 2 year deal almost agreed. Somebody is leaking details slowly. Looks like Wasps were almost blindsided by SISU.

If SISU have done this behind Wasps/CCC backs whilst trying to secure a short lease extension then they deserve everything they get.. which will be a worthless asset.

It seems SISU tried to keep this quiet long enough to get a lease extension agreed and signed and then have the "It's not really "Legal Action"" excuse ready to go forcing Wasps to stick to the agreement or have to face legal action while a court decides if it is "Legal Action"! But the delays to the lease, hopefully because of SISU arguing over beer sales and parking revenue, has led to this news coming out and now Wasps won't sign.

SISU prove once again that they can't be trusted. I can't see how any other team could see these antics and still agree to ground share.

Well, Simon Gilbert is one of theirs, so it's not surprising.

It looks a lot like grasping at straws there.  The Professor quoted indicates there are exemptions for stadia, so even if it did constitute state aid there an exemption may well apply anyway.  This looks a lot like SISU overseeing the end of CCFC in Coventry.  The question for me is...if they get expelled, do Notts County get reinstated or Fylde promoted?  The former with any luck...but they won't be expelled even if they play their home games in Halifax!
