I wonder what that actually covers. Kind of suggests it might be the whole estate.

I'm guessing this is about the Commonwealth Games and not rugby. The proposed construction has been signed off

Think it is for hosting trade events, industry shows and exhibitions etc rather than entertainment or sport events.

Either way.. good news for the Ricoh and Wasps..

I'm also amazed that Heathen is signed up for twitter (Sorry John).

I wonder if BelfastWasp still visits this site.. if so.. I hope he is well and looking forward to new sites in Leam to visit.

AFAIK that is it exactly. Which is great news as it allows revenue to start to flow again.

I wonder if last night's release of more restrictions to performance (which includes theatres) will get us back watching rugby. Seems a bit of confusion in the papers.

Allowing socially distanced indoor performances, but not allowing spectators at outdoor sports seems confusing on the face of it.  However, the unique thing about team sports in particular is that the crowd does tend to enjoy a good sing/chant/shout, which in itself increases the likelihood of transmission.
Spectators at the World Snooker final this weekend are likely to have to wear masks, and generally reaction is limited to polite applause, and seating and access will have to be managed in line with government guidelines.   Will be interesting to see how that pans out.

Difference is the snooker is indoors. I think we will see some relaxation especially at something the size of the Ricoh. With our relatively small number of STHs it should be easy to do a trial seating arrangement.

Have any other season ticket holders actually heard from the club regarding donations/refunds for this season's season tickets yet?

Makes me think there may be a possibility of season ticket holders being allowed in as part of a pilot.

Not heard.

I think that with Stephen Vaughan being used for a few interviews it is safe to say we will be in the forefront.  They will want to try rugby before the football season starts.
