Wouldn't it be great if Big Joe led Wasps to a Premiership or Champions Cup Final win this year and then went on to get a Lions Test debut.

It would be no more than he deserves.  I hope it happens.

I was so disappointed when he missed out on the lions last time. But he's clearly 1 of England's 2 best locks. But Gatland doesn't like him for some reason, and people try to justify it with outrageous claims.

Interesting article. Hope he isn't planning on starting whooping and hollering a la Itoje. I've never sensed a lack of physicality in his play and I doubt many opponents have either!

The 'story' is in the Times and Telegraph as well.

There is an article on Kieran Brookes in the Daily Mail [puts on helmet].

Yes, I laughed at that.

25 years ago if you had a back spasm, we would keep you from training for 6 weeks. Now we just ignore it and let you back as soon as it has settled.

A great player, strong leader and a loyal club man - he embodies it all.

+1

As one of the club’s longest serving captains, the memory of him in absolute tears at Twickers in October was gut wrenching to watch and you just feel that this year he truly ‘deserves’ club silverware and a Lions call up.

It’s always a case of how ‘in your face’ a captain should be .I would hope that Joe gets the refs ear by  quietly having a word every now and again rather than questioning all the time.
