A couple of matches on terrestrial and highlights package would have been just the ticket, with full match replays online and extended highlights BT.
With extended BT stuff, getting decent figures for highlights programmes is tough, as many dedicated fans already have BT, making it unattractive to broadcasters. I rarely watched highlights as the BT ones were better and often the full match replays were online a day or two later. Furthermore, other than being male biased, it is a very uneven audience in terms of age, socioeconomics, etc., making it a hard sell to advertisers. I hope they get something in place.
