The veritable cuate's egg of a game.

However, to get a W away in France is always good. We are in the last 8 and away to Edinburgh or Bath. So getting to those two should not be a problem.

Lost the plot in the second half but had enough to get over the line by a 10 pt margin. It was said that BO played well against RCT last week. Looks like they remembered that in the 2 nd. half.

The focus is now on Wuss next Saturday. One player who again put his hand up is Dan Frost. Should be handed the starting berth next week IMHO.

Alfie was a monster. With a bit more communication from Dan, he may well have ended up with 4 tries.

Must book my ticket for next week now.

Away to Edinburgh but home to Bath. I would suggest playing Edinburgh on their new plastic would be very difficult for us.

Just seen this from Bobby Bridge on Twitter :

If Wasps win today and Bath win tomorrow, their European Challenge Cup quarter-final will be played at the CBS Arena.

One step at a time though, they’ve got to beat Biarritz first!

When do we know where we are next week?

Next round is 5-7th May. Next week is at CBSA against worcester.

I’d suspect next round will be Friday night 5th or Saturday afternoon 6th.

Why at home if against bath, surely it’s an away fixture regardless?

No it goes on seeding. We are a higher seed than Bath but lower than Edinburgh.

Thanks I hadn’t realised that. I thought it was a simple home/away draw.

Now I know what they mean when people say that was game of two halves.
Bassett certainly put some effort in when he came on. Thought Jacob had a decent game other than an almost too high tackle.

It was about 2 feet off the ground. The guy had ducked that low. Not sure what he could have done other than wave him through.

Good work out and delighted to see the team win in France. It doesn’t happen often.

I’d liked to have seen Fifita on the bench to come on and steal some line outs.

It wasn’t Atkinsons fault that Biarritz got back in the game

A win is a win, pretty good 1st half, absolutely shocking 2nd half. We do it very often and Lee needs to sort it, Dai couldn’t. 10 is a problem for me, we have no game control that a 10 should dictate, especially on front foot ball, which is what we had tonight, our pack was so dominant.

Well we've got WHW next season ;)

I mean I don't know much about him, but is he a good game managing 10? Given his age I'm not sure that's something we should realistically expect (albeit you're probably joking)

Frost is much better at the back of a maul.
Oggre can learn a few thing from him

Both Dan and Gabe are top drawer hookers and only going to get better. We are very lucky.

That was Charlie’s best game since injury. I’ve been really worried since his injury, I’ve just not seen anything of the player that caused a stir last year, until tonight. He finally arrived in the first half. He was gliding and controlling.

Biarritz were shocking for the first 40, then they woke up. We weren’t world beaters for the first 40, we just didn’t have any opposition, I actually had to google their league position, I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. If that was a taste of our scrummaging next year, bring it on. Oghre is developing into a good player (in spite of my reservations) but my God, he needs to sort his mauling out.

Oh, and the commentator should’ve been given the night off, shocking.
