A real shame this is. We can't catch a break injury wise. I'm not convinced it's a conditioning problem. I'd certainly be resting Shields, Vailanu and Carr against Bordeaux.

Its an entirely fair question Mike. I'd say we have a proliferation of ACL's which bears looking into. These are particularly worrying as they are season scenarios. I'm also not convinced that our game management in the latter stages is not connected to fatigue rather than lack of nous.

Understood, hence why I said in this instance.
I think we just have a mix of injury prone players and bad luck, nothing more. In Taylor, Mac and Gaskell we must have table toppers in minutes off pitch...without even considering the catastrophic luck Reider, Jones and Rees had, to name a few. Some players out there just don't seem to get injured..the ones that do we seem to employ.

Without coming over all Lady Bracknell on the subject of misfortune as opposed to carelessness, if our record is significantly worse then it seems likely that there are a set of underlying reasons such as overworking/fatigue, that are making our figures worse. However we might not be that much worse than other clubs.

I had the same thoughts about how we compare to other clubs and its natural for us to concentrate on our injuries.

In the last few seasons the only other club I can think of is Bath. Off the top of my head...  Watson, Joseph, Louw, Faletau, Obano we're all out for very long term injuries and there might be others that I can't think of.

It’s a real shame as I really like Gaskell but has others have said he is injured too often.

We do need to look at this, how many weeks has he been injured, just in the last 3 seasons, at a guess most probably half the time

Didn't one of the papers look at it a year or 2 ago and decided the was little difference between any of the clubs' injuries, except Sale who had significantly less.... I thought it was attributed to non/minimal contact training
