Bristol on standby
« on: October 16, 2020, 06:07:59 PM »
Word is that should we be able to field a side for the final, Bristol will step in and play Exeter instead.

If that’s the rules agreed in August, then fine. But if Bristol win, it’s going to look a very odd outcome.

I wonder if there is a scenario where Bath could win the title? What if Exeter have positive tests after the Racing 92 match tomorrow, is a Bath v Bristol final possible?

If this is true then it’s obviously about providing a game for BT to show so they get the TV money.

If it's not Ex v us it's a farce. Whatever this season brings it's been a game changer for us. We'll be in the final for years to come.

Briz get a dose tonight, Exeter tomorrow. Bath get put in for the final and win the title by default. Sounds about as legitimate as a Saracens title.

I hope being on a (hopefully) unnecessary standby doesn't spoil their celebrations! Not that they should be too exuberant this year anyway. Enjoy!

Congratulations Bristol!

My gutfeel says that we will be OK, providing those acaemy players (and coaches) have not mixed with the senior squad. No names given but were any academy lads and coaches at the Ricoh last weekend?
