So not a pools panel.

Just a could you put side out. Back to a Dimes scenario.

Could have been each of the 4 strictly judges gave a "Seven!" making 28 points?

Not a bad analogy. Results are done on the Saturday but not allowed to be known until Sunday.

I stand corrected. Not sure why they need a "Match Result Resolution Committee" to determine the results of the cancelled matches when its done to the formula of, "The team who couldn't or wouldn't get a side out forfeit by 28 - nil"

What happens if both sides have outbreaks?

I imagine members of said committee are probably on generous expenses to attend these meetings from home via Zoom!

If 28-0 against the defaulting team is to be standard then it would have made a lot of sense to state that in the rules rather than pretend someone, somewhere is making a meaningful, considered decision.

The hot money must be on at least half the games, in Rounds 3 & 4, being called off.

The way things are going I won’t be surprised if we see sport being cancelled again.

EPRC are saying no fault is attributed but awarding 28-0 win to team that would have played. Since each team plays only 2 other teams twice the final standings could be highly skewed given there are 2 rounds left.

Since teams have mainly been put in this position through no fault of their own it would be far fairer to double the points of matches that are played. So if Wasps cannot play Dragons or Montpellier use the scores of the first 2 rounds.

There's a chance, if a lot more cancellations occur, that a team with 1 loss and 3, 5 point defaults could qualify whereas a team that won 2 with 5 points and had 2, 0 point defaults does not. That would be ludicrous!

Teams can do everything 'right' and still get hit by Covid, or need to isolate. It seems worse for Glasgow in a way, but it is only worse if Exeter did something 'wrong'.
